Clinical Medical Assistant 

Course Description: Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA) are a vital part of clinical patient care. They perform tasks including preparing patients for the doctor, obtaining vital signs, collecting specimens (phlebotomy for example), performing EKGs, and assisting during exams and procedures to name a few. This field is continually growing with the expansion of medical offices nationwide.

Course Length:  6 weeks

Clinical Administrative Medical Assistant

Course Description: Whereas clinical medical assistants work largely in a clinical setting, and may spend a significant portion of their career assisting physicians in the treatment of patients, administrative medical assistants perform largely administrative duties. These healthcare professionals spend the majority of their time in the front end of a clinic or other healthcare facility. While administrative medical assistants may assist patients, physicians, and other members of the staff, they do so through a more administrative route.

Course Length: 5 weeks

Course Date & Times: M,W,F 9am to 12pm (Optional In-person weekend skills sessions are Sat & Sun 10am-2pm)

Certified Medication Technician

Course Description: The Med tech, CMT or certified medication technician training course is a 20-hour clock program. This course is designed for persons who will administer medication in the home or in assisted living facilities under the delegation of a RN.

Course Length: 3 days 

Course Date & Times: Friday 6p to 10p, Sat & Sunday 9a-5p

Certified Medication Technician Renewal 

Course Description: The Med tech, CMT or certified medication technician training course is a 4-hour clock program. This course is designed for person who are in need of a 2 year renewal that is in active status only. No more than 30 days past expiration date.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician 

Course Description: The phlebotomy technician training program prepares students to collect and process blood samples for laboratory analysis. Students will learn information about basic anatomy and physiology, the healthcare delivery system, blood collection equipment, venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques, medical, legal and ethical implications of blood collection and more.

Course Length: 4 weeks

Certified EKG Technician 

Course Description: In our EKG technician course you'll learn how to:

​​- Set up and administer electrocardiograms (EKGs) and stress tests

- Prepare patients for Holter or ambulatory monitoring

- Edit and deliver final test results to physicians for analysis

- Schedule appointments

- Transcribe physician’s interpretations

Course Length: 4 weeks

Certified Patient Care Technician 

Course DescriptionAlong with lecture, students enrolled in the PCT training program are taught practical hands-on skills too. Students enrolled in our PCT program will learn how to:

Perform glucose checks on live individuals

Setup a sterile field

Perform sterile wound dressing changes

Perform urinary catheterization and removal

Discontinue intravenous (IV) catheters

Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs or EKGs) 

Perform venipuncture (blood draws) 

Course Length: 4 weeks

American Heart Association Initial BLS/Renewal  

Course Description: The AHA BLS provider class is an all-inclusive class incorporating adult, pediatric & infant CPR/AED procedures. This class is intended for persons in the healthcare field or wishing to enter a healthcare profession.

Course Length: 4.5 hours 

Course Date & Times: Saturday's 10am to 2pm

Included in Tuition: CPR certification

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the Month

Requirements: Students have to be 18 years or older.

Access to a laptop or desktop (PC) computer with a camera is preferred, but not required. A smartphone is acceptable.

Students are required to attend class by video. Please note camera must be functional and on during class.

Students need to have stable internet connection.

Students must know basic English and Math.
